As we continue to pay tribute to family caregivers, our hope is for many to get behind the first comprehensive overnight respite house for caregivers. With your help, family caregivers will be able to spend time away for restorative care at a house and center that offers a change of environment for caregivers who may be suffering with compassion fatigue, burn out, grief and stress from the demands of caring for someone.
On July 15, 2020, Hope Grows showcased the needed renovations for the Iris Respite at their ‘live’ virtual Renovation Showcase event. Financial partnerships are needed in helping to renovate the house, which will include a wellness approach to healing. Those needing rest, rejuvenation, and a change of perspective will gain a much-needed break.
Architectural renderings were unveiled from the generous work of the Architectural Innovations, LLC firm and the truly beautiful, Healing Tree, by artists Linda and Paul Ransom was introduced as the donor wall. If you are interested in getting involved at a higher level, an informational packet, upon request, can be mailed. Call 412 369-4673, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
