Special Group for July 8th – Creating music together

With this Grief Support Group we will make music together with the use of drums and small percussion. NO MUSIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. If you have an instrument you’d like to bring, please do – all instruments are welcome. We will use music and all its elements to engage and support any expressions of grief and bereavement through group improvisation and songwriting. This can lead to spiritual connection by experiencing pleasure, ‘normalcy’, creativity and community. Music offers expanded opportunities for aesthetic experience and meaningful communication through its capacity to activate more areas of preserved neural function.

Important information: Hope Grows has become a ‘no shoe’ facility and if you do not want to take your shoes off, we have medical shoe covers for your convenience. We also ask that you use a hand sanitizing wipe or gel, also provided for your convenience.
