Dear Caring Friend,
You are invited to join Hope Grows, and other civic stewards of the community, to the Iris Respite House Renovation Showcase on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, as we pay tribute to family caregivers. This event is virtual and you can join from the comfort of home, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
In December, zoning was approved by Moon Township officials for a Bed and Breakfast at the location of 183 Shafer Road, Moon Township. This approval will allow Hope Grows to run and operate the Iris Respite House, an overnight break for caregivers who may be suffering with compassion fatigue, burn out, grief and stress from the demands of caring for someone.
Soon, family caregivers will be able to spend time away for restorative care that will include integrative therapies, mental/emotional support, spa and salon amenities, and a healing connection with nature. Those needing rest, rejuvenation, and a change of perspective will gain a much-needed break.
Recently, Hope Grows honored six family caregivers as they shared their personal stories. You will meet some of these caregivers as Hope Grows introduces the long-awaited, one-of-a-kind, comprehensive model of overnight care for family caregivers at our Iris Respite House Renovation Showcase.
Guest Speakers will chart the course for the vital work and support that is needed, as we unveil the architectural renderings from Architectural Innovations, LLC. Experience the truly beautiful, The Healing Tree, by artists Linda and Paul Ransom. As we share the case for support for this innovative retreat for family caregivers, your insight, involvement, and help are needed. Registration to the virtual event is required; you will receive log-in information. Call 412 369-4673, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit the website at www.hopegrows.net.
With Kind Regards,
Lisa M. Story, MSCP, LPC, CT
